Make a game

/create prompt: a tower defense game where the towers are cats

Describe the game in one message. The reply updates while the game builds, which usually takes a few minutes. When it's ready you get:

  • A play link anyone in the channel can open.
  • A Studio link where you keep changing the game in plain language: new levels, art, sounds, or rules.

If the builder needs an answer before it can go on, the reply shows its questions and links to Studio, where you answer them.

Talk to Dorian

Dorian is the app's bot. Mention him like anyone else in the channel:

@Dorian make a rhythm game where you're a frog DJ at a pond rave
@Dorian can the mice wear tiny hats

Ask him for a game and he builds it, the same as /create. Ask for a change and he updates the last game he posted in the channel. Anyone in the channel can ask for a change, so friends can help build the same game. Changes run on the game creator's account, and each person can ask for 3 changes per game per hour.

Your account

Games you make from Discord belong to your Fifth Door account, so building one needs an account with Discord connected. Chatting with Dorian and asking for changes to someone else's game don't. Continue with Discord above signs you up, or signs you in if you already connected Discord. If you already have a Fifth Door account, sign in the way you usually do and connect Discord on your account page.

Adding it to a server

Anyone who can manage a server can add the app. It asks for:

  • Slash commands, so /create shows up in the server.
  • View Channels and Send Messages, so Dorian can reply and post play links.
  • Embed Links, so the play link shows a preview.
  • Read Message History, so Dorian can find the last game he posted and follow the conversation he's in.

Dorian only reads messages that mention him. Discord doesn't show him what anyone else's messages say.

Limits

  • One game per /create. Change it by asking Dorian, or in Studio.
  • Games follow the Terms of Service.

Privacy

The app receives your Discord user ID, the server and channel you used it in, and your prompt. When you mention Dorian, your message and the recent messages that mention him in that channel go to the AI that writes his replies. Your Discord ID is used only to find the Fifth Door account you connected. See the Privacy Policy.
